Interestingly, it was also the Queen's official birthday on Saturday, 12th June, 2021. She celebrates two birthdays every year - her actual one on 21st April and the official one on the second Saturday of June. This year, the birthday coincided with the Big Lunch organised by the Eden Project. The initiative is a way of bringing communities and volunteers together and bond over food and friendship. The Big Lunch can be anything ranging from a picnic, a tea party or even a garden barbecue. The lunch event was extra special this year as it marks the beginning of her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The Royals were also introduced to volunteers from the project, whose efforts during the pandemic were appreciated.

The viral video of the Queen's cake cutting has been shared multiple times by various platforms across social media, garnering views by the millions. In the clip, the Duchess of Cornwall pointed out that there was a knife kept along with the cake. However, the Queen retorted, "I know! This is something that is more unusual," proceeding to cut the cake with the sword.

Internet users loved the monarch's unexpected action of cutting the cake with a sword. Calling her a 'legend', Twitter users said they wanted to do the same for their birthdays too. Take a look at the best reactions:
