A three-year-old slice of cake from Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding is expected to fetch around $2000 at the Julien's auction in Beverly Hills, California next month. Kate and William's widely-celebrated marriage was viewed by millions around the world and reignited interest in the British royal family.The fruit-filled cake from the April 29, 2011 wedding will be sold wrapped in white paper in a decorative box along with a blank wedding invitation made on Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II stationery. Guests at the wedding who had a slice include former soccer star David Beckham and his wife Victoria, Queen Elizabeth II and singer Ellie Goulding.Created by cake-maker Fiona Cairns, the cake was covered in cream and white icing and decorated with 900 sugar-paste flowers. She says the cake featured 17 flowers, chosen by the Duchess, each with a different meaning. It took a total of five weeks to complete.
