If you watch carefully, you'll see the blogger plucking out the blue pea flowers from her home garden. The she discards the stems and leaves, cleans the flowers and boils them. The colour of the flower is infused in the boiling water. The water is strained to discard the flowers and the coloured water is added to the idli batter. Then the blogger proceeds to make the idlis as usual.
The recipe video has been viewed more than eight lakh times and has garnered over 30k likes and hundreds of comments. Some of them are:
"This flower is good for the brain and helps to maintain overall mental health well."
"These flowers possess medicinal properties so they are good for health."
"So creative! Thanks for the idea."
"Doremon idli"
"You can add those flowers to your green tea as well. I add these flowers daily to my green tea."
Isn't this a great idea to give your idlis an interesting makeover? However, this is not the only food she revamped. Earlier, she created blue modaks with the same trick.
