For instance, this Gujarati street vendor who used to be an engineer has a special way of preparing the beloved beverage chai. He flavours the chai with apples and chikoo. The clip of the vendor was shared on Instagram by food blogger @foodietraveller_dharak. The video soon gained over 990k views. The vendor can be seen in the video making chai and then cutting apples and chikoo into it. The fact that he is incorporating fruits into the traditional chai makes the process quite interesting. He then prepares a delectable thepla and serves it with a unique chutney. The price of the Thepla is just Rs. 20! Yes, you heard it right!
