Meanwhile, in Tamil Nadu, you just cannot miss the scrumptious idli-sambhar. When it comes to Maharashtrian food, the amazing variety of dishes will stun you. There is, of course, the most-loved pav bhaji but even missal pav equals in its fan following and taste. Recently, actress Madhuri Dixit shared a video of herself making the Maharashtrian favourite with none other than her husband, Dr Shriram Nene.

Madhuri Dixit has her own YouTube vlog with a strong fan following of 1.27 million subscribers. Apart from snippets from her day, she also shares yummy Maharashtrian food recipes on her channel. The video of the making of missal pav was shared on her channel on June 3 and has already clocked in over 131k views.
Both Madhuri Dixit and her husband Dr Nene are big fans of Indian food and in this video, they cooked the yummy dish missal pav in their own kitchen. For the unversed, missal pav is a tangy tomato-based curry with sprouts as the main ingredient. It is typically served with pav buns on the side.
In the 8-minute 26-second video, the duo first prepare the missal pav masala paste with garlic, coconut, tomato, onion, ginger and garlic. Then, they added spices like jeera, curry leaves, red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder and garam masala to this paste. The paste was allowed to cool down and then ground till smooth. Then, Madhuri Dixit shared how she prepared the sprouts for missal pav and added them to the pan for boiling. A dash of jaggery completed the dish! Madhuri Dixit served the missal pav garnished with crunchy farsan, finely chopped onion, coriander leaves and a dash of lemon juice.
