Ordering food has become the new normal in the post-COVID era. Just a few clicks and taps and your favourite cuisine is delivered to your doorstep. There is no dearth of interesting cuisines and new and innovative restaurants opening up at every possible location. But what about the same kind of experimentation when it comes to ordering in? If you are thinking of ordering food at home and what to go beyond the usual fare, we have found two delightful options for you.

The first one is HelloPanda. A cloud kitchen serving up delicious pan Asian food, it is the brainchild of chef Vikramjit Roy. "HelloPanda adeptly serves up customer favourites but without deviating from authenticity and quality. Constantly changing seasonal offerings, as well premium seafood and meat options, allow for more varied choices for the adventurous home diner," says co-founder of the restaurant, Vir Kotak.

We tried the spicy Avocado Maki roll which comprised avocado, cucumber, sushi rice, and spicy Mayonnaise. The interesting dish was paired with Wasabi, green and red chilli sauce. The Edamame stuffed dumplings with truffle oil were quite the exquisite affair. The dehydrated lotus stem too tingled our tastebuds, with a texture enmeshed between chewy and crunchy. For the main course, we sampled the Thai green curry which comprised a bevy of fresh vegetables in spicy yet hearty gravy. The curry was paired with steamed sticky rice, and it made for a meal we'll truly remember.

If you would rather have Indian food, Park Street Rolls and Biryani is the go-to for you. Capturing the flavours of Calcutta, the eatery's USP is in its namesake - rolls and Biryani. "Park Street really makes the case for why regional Indian is such a compelling alternative to the regular North Indian order-in," says Kotak. We tried the aromatic Jackfruit biryani as well as the Soya Chaap roll. Both preparations were carefully made with meticulous detailing and were simply fulfilling and divine. We also tried the Bengali dessert Payesh, which had a crunch of nuts and left a sweet aftertaste.
