What Does Peeth Perun Mean?

When I came across this dish, I asked my friend's mother what it translated to. She explained that Peeth means flour, and Perun means to sprinkle. This dish uses roasted besan, which is sprinkled over the cooked vegetables, giving it its name. Peeth Perun is a dry side dish that tastes amazing with roti and rice. The best thing about this dish is that it can be prepared in under 30 minutes and makes for an excellent tiffin box recipe for kids. On a personal note, I sometimes roll this veggie up in a parantha and eat it on the go.
