Ganesh Chaturthi festival sees devotees preparing various sweets and snacks to offer Lord Ganesh to celebrate his birth anniversary. The festival falls on August 31 this year and we see preparations underway already in many households. With options galore, one can choose to make any or many bhog recipes. While modak is a popular choice all over India, satori is commonly prepared in Maharashtra to offer to Lord Ganesh, and to family and friends. Also called Sanjori, Sheerachi Poli and Rava Laddoo, satori can be prepared in different ways, but the essence remains the same.

Satori is a stuffed laddoo or poori made with sooji and milk and sweetened with sugar or jaggery. You can also add dry fruits and poppy seeds to enhance the flavour. While some people make flatbread (roti), some deep dry to make stuffed pooris. Satori is essentially a roasted sooji ladoo stuffed inside sooji rolls.

Rava Laddoo is a great idea for Ganesh Chaturthi 2022.

Here we are making fried satori made with sooji, milk and sugar. Elachi powder is added for its sharp flavour and raisins add crunch and more sweetness. Some maida is also added to make dough for sooji pooris, which helps make the pooris crispy. This satori recipe is super easy and hardly takes any time.

Satori Recipe For Ganesh Chaturthi I How To Make Rava Laddoo

First knead dough with sooji, maida and some milk. Roll it out into rotis. Stuff the rotis with rava laddoos made by roasting sooji in ghee and mixed with sugar, cardamom, milk and raisins. Roll again to make pooris and fry them till golden brown.
