The nippy weather outside calls for yummy foods like pakora, samosa, sandwich and all those greasy and decadent street foods. But, due to this ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, many of us are avoiding stepping out houses or eating foods from outside. That doesn't mean you have to miss out on all those yummy monsoon treats. In fact. we suggest, prepare all your favourite dishes at home and indulge. Take this masala patties pav for instance.

A popular street food from Mumbai, masala patties pav is the ultimate treat for the ones who are looking for something spicy and decadent. We found a recipe that can help you make Mumbai-style masala patties pav at home. This particular recipe is shared by food vlogger Parul Jain on her YouTube channel 'Cook With Parul'. Let's take a look at the recipe.
Street Food Of India: How To Make Mumbai's Speicial Masala Pattice Pav:
To make this dish, you would need half a tablespoon of cumin seeds, grated ginger and red chilli powder, one tablespoon of oil, chopped garlic and lemon juice, one-fourth tablespoon of turmeric powder and garam masala, two chopped green chillies, four boiled and mashed potatoes, chopped coriander and salt as per taste.

Take a pan, heat it and add oil, cumin, ginger, green chilli and garlic. Cook these well on low flame. Then add your mashed potatoes and cook it for 5 minutes. Then add chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, lemon juice, coriander and salt. Mix well to combine. Take it off the gas and let it cool.
Form the shape of a tikki from the mix you prepared and bake it on a pan.
To make the lal chutney - in a blender, add one-fourth cup of garlic, Kashmiri red chilli powder, one tablespoon of peanuts, one teaspoon of heeng, jeera powder, lime juice and salt. Then add one-two tablespoons of water. Blend these well to form a paste consistency.
Cut your pavs in half and cook it on a pan with the prepared lal chutney. Make sure that the pav is covered in the chutney. To assemble the pav, add your tikkis and veggies of your choice to enjoy this masala sandwich!
