As the veteran director Mahesh Bhatt celebrates his 71st Birthday today, Alia Bhatt left no chance to be with her father and celebrate his special day. The father-daughter duo are currently working on their first film together, Sadak 2. Sisters Alia and Pooja Bhatt took their father out for a special birthday lunch to a restaurant and shared the birthday lunch menu on Instagram, especially curated for the birthday boy. In the picture shared by Alia, we can see the director sitting at a restaurant talking to her as she clicks a picture of the special menu from the restaurant, Neel.
The menu has been curated specially by the Mumbai restaurant for the occasion and says 'Happy Birthday Bhatt Saab', as he is lovingly called by his colleagues from the industry. The three-course menu boasts of all things delicious, right from the appetisers to the decadent desserts. A typical North-Indian menu, it starts with mouth-watering vegetarian delicacy of peshawari paneer tikka and malai broccoli to flavourful chicken and fish tikkas. The main course is equally interesting with a spread of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes that includes paneer methi makhani, roasted vegetables, chicken khada masala, fish curry and dal tadka along with assorted Indian breads. And we know even the Bhatts love biryani, as gosht dum biryani has a special mention on the lunch menu too. Coming to the desserts, they kept it simple and classic with gulab jamun and vanilla ice cream.
Isn't the lunch menu just inviting enough for us to crave some ourselves? With selected treats of all things yummy, we are sure Mahesh Bhatt must've had quite a satiating birthday with his dearest daughter.

Earlier in the day, Alia Bhatt also shared a throwback picture of her father in a silhouette on social media where she wrote, "It's been great knowing you for the last 26 years... You're a good guy. Probably the best... also the wisest... also you're very funny... did I tell you I think you're super talented too? Happy Birthday Daddy... You amaze me every single day! There is no one like you and I repeat no one. I love you."
