Ordering food online has come as a saviour for many of us, especially, in the post pandemic era. It not only saves us the time and effort spent getting ready and going out for dinner, it is also one of the quickest ways of enjoying your desired delicacies without any fuss. Just a few clicks on your phone and the food of your choice is ordered, prepared and delivered to your homes. During and after the pandemic, food delivery giants in the country and other parts of the world even went to the extent of helping delivery drivers with vaccinations and getting better health care. All this was done just so that our daily supply of food isn't hampered. However, apart from keeping their health conditions in check, there isn't much these companies can do when it comes to delivery drivers. Their criminal records, for instance, or if they are involved in any unlawful activity, cannot be known by these companies and this might sometimes come as a shock if you are on the receiving end of the order.

A lady from South Dakota, United States recently had a similar instance happen to her. She ordered for food online, however, when it arrived, she was shocked beyond words at what she saw at her doorstep! Instead of the door dash driver, a police officer was standing on her porch. The officer diffuses the tension by meeting her with a smile and explaining that the delivery driver has been arrested while on his way to complete her delivery. He was just completing the driver's delivery to her and the incident passes off as a hilarious event. The video was captured by a camera on the lady's door and has now received around 5.2 million views and 661k likes. Look at it here:
The caption on the video read "Faith in humanity restored" and many viewers in the comments praised the police officer for being considerate enough to drop off the food at the right address. Many pointed out how this was a wholesome video and they thoroughly enjoyed watching this. One of the comments left on the video was "I smiled the whole time lol that's so cute", the other read "I like this cop. He LITERALLY was protecting AND serving. A real community hero."

The lady was ordering from 'Arby's', an American sandwich restaurant chain. Many were quick to point out that the choice of the restaurant was what the true crime was. "They should arrest her for ordering Arby's," read one comment and "I'm more surprised seeing someone actually order from Arby's," read the other.
