Bringing a healthy twist to our beloved tikki, here's a recipe of kheera tikki made with the cool cucumbers. Yes, cucumber is not limited to just salads, it can be churned into something as delicious as cucumber tikki and here's how you can do it.

Cucumber is a cooling vegetable with around 90% water content. It is extremely hydrating and good for weight loss too. The low-cal food is commonly used in salads and sandwich filling. With this recipe, we'll make better use of it to give us something we would truly relish. So, next time you are having a family get-together over chai and chatpata snacks, serve this healthy kheera snack.

Cucumber is a low-cal food and can be grated to make yummy tikkis. 

Cucumber Tikki recipe -

(Makes 4-5 tikkis)

1 cucumber

1 boiled potato

2 tbsp bread crumbs

1 tbsp corn flour

1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

1-2 green chillies, chopped

1/4 tsp cumin powder

Half tsp chaat masala

Salt to taste

Method -

Step 1 - Peel and grate the cucumber and squeeze out excess water.

Step 2 - Mash the boiled potato and add grated cucumber.

Step 3 - Add salt, ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, corn flour, salt and all the spices. Then add bread crumbs to soak in moisture and make the tikkis crispy.

Step 4 - Now knead the mixture lightly to make dough. Grease your hands with oil and pull out smaller portions and shape them into round cutlets.

Step 5 - Shallow fry these tikkis on a non-stick pan with some oil.

Serve these delicious tikkis with chutney of your choice or just have it with your hot tea, and enjoy the beautiful rains. You can also air-fry these tikkis to avoid oil altogether. Happy healthy snacking!
