To make sure that enjoyment remains uninterrupted during the wedding season, celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar, in an Instagram post, suggests the top three foods you should eat to keep your digestion healthy.

1. Chyawanprash

According to the nutritionist, taking a teaspoon of chyawanprash before going to bed can ensure the proper functioning of the digestive system and also boost the immune system. Chyawanprash also has antioxidants and flavonoids that will keep the skin supple and soft even during chaotic ceremonies.

2. Glass of chaas with hing (asafoetida) and kala namak

If you are suffering from bloating and gas after attending a wedding function, then take a glass of buttermilk with a pinch of hing and kala namak. Buttermilk has probiotics and vitamin – B12 and taking it with hing and kala namak will help ease bloating and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) symptoms.

According to the nutritionist, methi laddoo made with jaggery, ghee, and dry ginger can be your saviour for this wedding season. This combination can help prevent issues such as constipation and stomach cramps that cause uneasiness. The laddoos can also be effective in promoting intestinal mucosa and keeping the hair lustrous. The nutritionist suggests consuming the laddoo either before breakfast or as a meal between 4 pm and 6 pm. These are convenient to eat and can be packed in a box so that you eat them during your busy schedule.
