A heartening gesture by an employee at a Burger King outlet is garnering a lot of praise and appreciation on social media. So much so that even the company organised a ceremony to felicitate the good samaritan, who helped a girl with a burger. The little one walked into the food joint with ₹10 in her hand. She wanted to buy a burger, which cost ₹90. Here comes Dheeraj Kumar, who was standing on the other side of the counter. Mr Kumar added the extra money required for the purchase and the little girl got the burger. The incident took place on World Food Day.
Burger King has also shared pictures from the felicitation ceremony on Twitter. For the caption, they wrote, “This World Food Day, Dheeraj Kumar, working at our Noida Botanical Garden Metro Station restaurant, has inspired us all with his beautiful act of kindness. We had a very special guest who walked into our restaurant asking for a #burger but had only ₹10 with her.”

The Twitter thread added, “Dheeraj, out of sheer humanity, gave her the burger and also paid for it from his own pocket. We, at RBA, salute his generosity and kindness which is rare and #special.”
“Deepak Kumar, our Head of Operations, North, held a felicitation ceremony in appreciation of Dheeraj and celebrated his spirited gesture to a tiny soul in need. We thank each and every team member at Burger King for making our guests feel special,” the company stated.
A user wrote, “I am glad that Dheeraj has been felicitated. The girl seems to be from an underprivileged section of society. Burger King would have done better by financing the education of that little girl.”
Another added, “This is appreciable. Little act of kindness by everybody will change this world.”
