Former Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds passed away on Saturday in a car accident. Reportedly the 46-year-old cricketer succumbed to injuries when his car spun off the road in the Townsville area of Queensland, Australia. The news comes months after the deaths of Symonds' fellow cricketers Shane Warne and Rod Marsh. The tragic incident has left the sporting world and the cricket enthusiasts in shock, with tributes pouring in from around the globe. Popular FMGC brand Amul too took to its social media to pay homage to the late cricket star, who was affectionately referred to as 'Roy' by his teammates.

Amul recently took to Twitter and Instagram and shared a post on Andrew Symonds that features him in his all-rounder avatar. In the post, we can see Symonds with three of his iconic poses while batting, bowling and fielding. "He Symmolised the game...Andrew Symonds 1975-2022," the topical reads. Amul further wrote, "#Amul Topical: Tribute to charismatic Australian all-rounder...", alongside the black-and-white post. Take a look:

This is not the first time that Amul shared an emotional, monochromatic topical on its social media. Earlier, the brand paid tribute to legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar with a black-and-white doodle, after her demise in February 2022. The doodle featured her in various stages of life and captioned it, "Hum jahan jahan challenge, aapka saaya saath hoga". This caption was inspired from late Lata Mangeshkar's iconic song 'Tu Jahan Jahan Chalega, Mera Saaya Saath Hoga' from the 1966 movie 'Mera Saaya'. Find the Amul Topical here:
