But recently, this recipe has found itself in a bit of a controversy. A British channel named Tasty shared a recipe for chicken korma on its Twitter handle. Shared on Saturday, the recipe video for chicken korma has already garnered over 671k views and 1.8k likes. First, the recipe started off by sautéing together chopped onions, garlic cloves and chicken breast. Then, tomatoes, korma paste and rice were further added to the pot. After adding water and raisins, the so-called korma was brought to a boil. The water was adjusted and the dish was finished off with spinach leaves, pine nuts and a bit of yogurt.
Indian Twitter users were left aghast on seeing the strange preparation of chicken korma. Many objected to the addition of rice, raisins and spinach in the same dish that was just supposed to be a simple curry. "The worst thing to see online," said one user while another wrote, "We need a RRR but with Indian cooks beating up UK cooks for these kinda atrocities!"
