The rapidly spreading Novel Coronavirus has recorded over 20 lakh cases globally as of today, and most nations are under complete or partial lockdown. People all across the globe are waiting for the Coronavirus epidemic to tide over, spending time at home with their family and loved ones. There are some service providers, however, who are putting their lives at risk in these testing times to make sure everyone is safe and at home. Hospital staff, doctors, nurses, delivery staff, police force, food services, farmers - these are a few of the people providing the public with the essential services they need irrespective of their personal safety.

Google has started a series of illustrations aimed to acknowledge these very workers, who are continuing their great effort and prioritising their work commitments even in spite of the lockdown and their personal risk. Their tireless work is what keeps us going as a community, which is exactly what Google seeks to honour in their illustrative series. The latest Google Doodle made an appreciative gesture towards applauding the commendable effort of the food service workers on the frontlines. Take a look at the doodle:

"As COVID-19 continues to impact communities around the world, people are coming together to help one another now more than ever. We're launching a Doodle series to recognize and honor many of those on the front lines. Today, we'd like to say: To all food service workers, thank you," read the Doodle's description on the Google Doodle website. The doodle is part of a series which Google started on 6th April, 2020 in a bid to honour the workers who are helping the fight against Coronavirus.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai wrote about the series, "Starting today, we're launching a #GoogleDoodle series to honor many of those on the front lines in the fight against #COVID19.
