According to Ladbible, Toby Wilson of Manchester, England, woke up after a night out with his friends in York to find he had spent £666.50 (little over Rs 66,000) on a burger. The 35-year-old was on his way home, when he stopped at Efe's Kebab Kitchen food truck at around 11 pm for a moderately-priced veggie burger and chips. What he thought would be a regular meal ended up becoming the most expensive meal of his life.

However, it wasn't until a few days later that Toby realised that he had made a mistake. He was back home in Manchester when he noticed that his account balance had dropped significantly. "I am a non-drinker. Maybe it would be different if someone was drunk and just stumbled in to get a kebab and got it all wrong. But that's very much not the case." Toby told the publication.

Toby immediately asked one of his friends to visit the kebab place and inform them about the mix-up. The report further claims that the company's HR manager Ahmed Abdullah advised him to speak to his bank. Over a month later, Toby and the manager are still at a stalemate over any possible refund of that  £666.50.

"Being a large conglomerate, they have rules to follow and things like that." "I explained the story to them [his bank], and they essentially need him [Ahmed] to say 'Yes, it's happened." Toby further added. He admits that the mix-up was funny at first, but now it's causing him unending weeks of stress. "It's very frustrating. Admittedly, at the start, it was a bit of a funny story. I thought it would be quickly sorted out and the banks would go, 'Yep, it's an error. But the bank is very slow at doing things." he added.

Ahmed told a local paper that he had wanted Toby to talk to his bank only for safety reasons, insisting that this is their legal way of handling things. Toby, who has worked in the hospitality industry, believes Efe's Kebab Kitchen would be able to prove the payment of Rs. 66,000 if they just looked into their account.
