IRCTC, along with PKS Hospitality Group of Chennai, is setting up first 24*7 food court at New Delhi railway station. It will be at the Ajmeri Gate side, platform no. 16.

This food court is build to cater the travelers going to and from New Delhi station.

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is set to launch a food court at New Delhi railway station. This food plaza will open at the Ajmeri Gate side of the station on September 15, 2021, to cater people travelling to and from New Delhi railway station. This initiative is taken by the corporation along with PKS Hospitality Group of Chennai. This 'Pop n Hop' food court will host 10 QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) chains, offering multi-cuisine at one place. Some of the popular food chains include KFC, Domino's, Haldiram, Wow Momo et al.

It is a two-level food court that will be spread across 6,000 sq feet. This food plaza will also have a seating capacity of 120 people on the first floor and a standing facility on the ground floor. Such food courts have earlier been launched at Chennai and Bangalore railway stations.

Speaking about the initiative and the upcoming launch, Mihraz Ebrahim, Managing Director at PKS Group states, "Launching Pop n Hop at the New Delhi Railway Station was our most awaited project, and we are extremely thrilled to cater to people living in and travelling to New Delhi with our extensive services. We are also thankful to the railway authorities for showing their trust in us to build a new food destination at the prime location."

"With the opening of the 24*7 food court, the travelers can now utilise their time eating good food in case of any train delays or can easily take away their favourite dishes at any time of the day or night," an official release further explains.
