A slurp of refreshment, a sip of pure bliss! Yes, we are talking about our favourite beverage tea. It won't be wrong to say that a cup of tea is not just a drink but emotions. Well, it is also true that our humble tea has always been at the forefront of bizarre experiments. From fruit chai to momos chai, these bizarre experiments around tea seem to be far from over. Well, in the latest turn of events, a street vendor has come up with rum tea. Yes, you read that right. The seller literally prepares the tea by adding rum to it. This experiment came to light after a clip, showing the vendor preparing the tea went viral. In the clip, the man can be seen taking out a small metal container from a tandoor. He adds a powdery substance to it to place it on fire. Next, he poured rum on top of it, which strengthened the fire even more. Finally, he pours the already-prepared tea on top of it and serves it once it is boiled properly. While we don't guarantee its taste, or appearance it looked similar to any normal tea. The video was shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter) with the note, “Old monk chai peelo fraans.”

Surprisingly, the internet seemed interested in the rum tea. Several users in the comments section claimed that they would like to try this rum tea. A comment read, “I might actually try that…looks interesting.”

Some quizzed about its preparation and asked, “Tea masala replaced with rum?”

A user revealed that she has actually tried adding rum to a hot beverage. She commented, “My partner makes filter coffee with an old monk- totally legit and original. I think some friends here in Melbourne would have tried this brew. Pallavi Dabholkar, do you remember this?”

A few said that they have already tried this experiment and it actually tastes amazing. “I tried this and it is [Fire emoticon]. Must try. This guy making and serving it also has his own style. Good experience,” said a user.
