The culinary world, in recent years, has witnessed some bizarre food combinations coming to life. At this point, some food purists may even argue that food experiments in India are getting out of hand. From Maggi samosa chat to cheese pani puri, foodies have seen it all. While the street vendors aren't getting tired of bringing forth new bizarre food experiments constantly, the internet continues to disapprove of most of it. In the recent turn of events, a street vendor has left tea lovers shaking in anger, after a video of him giving a fruity makeover to a cup of tea has gone viral. The vendor calls his bizarre tea experiment “Fruit chai.” Ditching all our favourite masalas like ginger and cardamom, the man was seen adding fruits like banana and kiwi.
The video shows the man adding fruits to already prepared tea. And going by his words, the vendor is extremely confident in his food experiment. In the clip, he can be heard saying that because this recipe has “never been prepared in the whole world”, and is “exclusive to IAS Chaiwala only,” the vendor is charging Rs 200 for a cup. Shocked? You aren't alone. The user who shared the clip also seemed agitated with this experiment. He hilariously wrote, “Isko zinda pakadna hai guys... (We need to catch him alive)." . Before you go ahead and watch the video, we would like to warn you to proceed with caution.

In no time, the clip received countless views from users. Several tea lovers were quick to disapprove of this food experiment.
A comment read, “Creativity taken too far, obnoxious!! Om Shanti! My dear tea lovers, may we be saved from this tortuous vision. My love tea, I still want you in its original form, the flavour, the relaxation you give me, forever yours!”

A few questioned the Rs 200 amount that he is charging per cup.
One banana 3rs
One chikoo 5rs
Price inflation is 200rs from 10rs.— Dr. Maulik Modi (@iamthemaulik) June 26, 2023
Innumerable users flooded the comments section with hilarious memes.
We might be bursting the vendor's bubble, but he isn't the first one to come up with this “Fruit chai”. Earlier we witnessed street vendors in Surat and Bangladesh, adding some exotic fruits like dragon fruit to tea.
So far the video has been played more than 350,000 times. Would you like to give this a try?
