McDonald's is possibly one of the most popular fast-food chains across the world. In fact, it is one such eatery that has patrons across ages. And you will always find people thronging these places to enjoy quick meals, relax and unwind. That's not all. You will also find people going on meal dates to McDonald's. But did you know, there's one McDonald's outlet in the world that bans people under-18 from entering the place post 5 pm?! You read that right. According to dailymail.co.uk, a temporary ban was imposed on unaccompanied under-18s, entering the restaurant after 5 pm at McDonald's in Lord Street, Liverpool, England.
Wonder why? The restaurant owners state that this step had been taken after the staff was being subjected to what they describe as "verbal and physical abuse". They explain that while unwinding in some eatery is acceptable, sitting for a long time and disrespecting the employees and other guests can be annoying.
Manchester Evening News further reported that a customer overheard security personnel explaining this new policy to a young man (whom they thought to be a teenager). As per the outlet, the company has a zero-tolerance policy for any kind of crime or anti-social behaviour. A spokesperson further said that they are closely working with the police and administration to find a solution to these ongoing incidents of increasing "number of incidents of anti-social behaviour in the area with our people being subjected to verbal and physical abuse", Manchester Evening News added.
