Tandoori chicken is a comfort food. The first bite of the smoked juicy chicken dipped in mint chutney explodes as a firework inside the mouth. The dish has the power to become the show-topper at any given party. Over the years, we have seen quite a few versions of tandoori chicken. While some looked oh-so-yummy, a few failed to trigger our cravings. Now, we have come across a unique version of tandoori chicken. Presenting — Chicken Pink Tandoori. You can find it in Navi Mumbai, as seen in a viral video on Instagram. The video opens to set up where a person is putting the marinated chicken in a seek. He then places it inside a tandoor. Cut to the plating part — we can see tandoori chicken served with oodles of pink sauce and a portion of dip. The video has gained more than 2.6 million views so far.

Of course, foodies made a bee-line to the comments section and shared their thoughts on “gulabi chicken”.

Comparing it to the Barbiecore trend, a person said, “Barbie-q chicken.” Another wrote, "Tandoori is a Pookie."

A person said he is waiting for “Waiting for RGB tandoori.” A person gave a shout-out to the restaurant, saying,  “Beetroot is added for that pinkish colour. Very nice.” 

Some wanted to know the reason behind preparing the dish with pink sauce. Others were unimpressed. A user compared it with a pink-coloured digestive syrup. A few wanted “justice for chicken.”
