Social media has become the single most powerful way of spreading information about events or people or places nowadays. It is also a highly-valued tool for marketing, particularly for lifestyle and F&B brands and companies. This is why companies manage what people are saying about them on their social media pages. A bad word about any brand may cause significant damage to a brand's image, and good reviews coming from the right people can also help boost a brand's business. This is what happened when a woman praised a restaurant and its food on Twitter and her tweet went viral. 24-year-old Bri Hall's tweet praising fried chicken sandwiches at Roaming Rooster in Washington D.C. garnered a lot of attention on the popular microblogging website. But the woman was in for a pleasant surprise when the restaurant decided to thank her for her praise with a promise of free chicken for life.
Hall's tweet giving rave reviews about Roaming Rooster's fried chicken sandwich was posted on August 27, 2019, following which D.C. locals started queueing up outside the restaurant to try the item out. Hall, who is a musician, had tweeted, "While Popeyes is cool and all if you live in the DMV area you should check out Roaming Rooster in DC. It's Black owned, and the founder Mike is Ethiopian born. He grew the family business from a food truck and has always been kind".(sic)

According to a Washington Post report, the restaurant sold between 4,500 and 5,000 sandwiches since the tweet went live. The family owned business is owned and run by an Ethiopian immigrant Michael Habtemariam, who, according to the Post report said that the tweet was "the best thing" that happened to the restaurant. Since the tweet boosted the restaurant's business, the owner thanked Bri Hall by offering her free chicken for life. Overjoyed by the gesture, Hill tweeted, "Y'all I'm about to be THICK thick lol much love". (sic)
