When it comes to breakfast, the superiority of chole bhature is unmatched. So much so that this staple desi breakfast is Virat Kohli's favourite too. So what makes it so special? Well, when you tear the fluffy, deep-fried sourdough bread (bhature) and dip it in spicy and tangy chickpea curry (chole), the flavours will explode inside your mouth. It is a quintessential street snack in North India. And, now, you will learn how to prepare this delicious snack at home. The credit for the tutorial goes to popular food vlogger, Indian Bawarchi aka Eshaan Nagpal.

The procedure of making chole bhature at home begins with heating up some generous quantity of oil in a wok. Next, he adds cumin seeds and lets them pop. Then comes ginger-garlic paste, salt, and a few Indian spices (red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, amchur powder, anardana powder). After adding the thick tomato puree to the fried masala, Eshaan is seen allowing it to blend for a few minutes. Now, it's time to add the boiled chana. Allow it to cook for another few minutes. Throw some chana masala and sliced green chillies into the gravy. Don't forget to serve it with a generous amount of ghee. That's it. Serve the chole with a side of fluffy bhature or rice.
