Ingredients of Dhuli Moong Ki Dal
- 1 cup husked green gram
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 2 Tbsp ghee
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/8 tsp asafoetida
- 1 Tbsp ginger, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup onions, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 2 Tbsp chopped coriander leaves- to garnish
How to Make Dhuli Moong Ki Dal
1.
Wash lentils till the water comes out clean.

Place them in a heavy pan with 3 cups of water, turmeric, ginger and salt.

Bring to a boil and simmer till cooked.

Heat ghee in a pan and add asafoetida and cumin seeds. Add onions.
5.
Saute onions till brown, add tomatoes and stir-fry till the fat separates.
6.
Add coriander powder, chilli powder and garam masala.
7.
Mix well and add cooked lentils.
8.
Bring to a boil and simmer for about a minute.
9.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
