There's something about the Asian cuisine that makes us swoon over it time and again. While the lockdown of 2020 made us miss many of the city's best Asian restaurants, it is such a joy to see some of our favourites coming back in action win new avatars. The Fatty Bao with its inventive Asian fare and eclectic cocktails is back in Delhi at the swanky Monkey Bar in Vasant Kunj. The two iconic restaurants are all set to offer a one of its kind experience to gourmands of the city! Does it get any better? You bet it does!
In a unique pop-up experience, Fatty Bao has come up with a 'Curry Up Fatty' special menu comprising bowls of delicious, hearty curries from the streets of Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Philippines. The curry festival which began on 25th February, 2021 will go on till the 28th of March at Monkey Bar, Vasant Kunj, and is also available for delivery across the city.
If nothing spells comfort for you than a bowlful of aromatic Asian curry than the culinary offering here are bound to make you slurp. Offering a host of lesser known Asian flavours, you can choose from eclectic Thai green curry with slow-cooked meatballs or Gulai Ayam - the Indonesian aromatic, rich and spicy chicken curry. The special menu also offers the famous Malacca Nyonya sweet and sour curry laksa with seafood while vegetarians can relish the Javanese Sayur Lodeh with vegetables a curry with chayote, beans, eggplant, chili pepper and tofu. All of these curries make for a wholesome meal as they are served with a choice of steamed rice, jasmine rice and fried garlic rice along with a selection of accompaniments including green sambal, roasted minced spicy peanuts, cucumber, fried onions and crackers.
And if you have been missing the signature pillowy baos, hearty ramen and dainty dim sums from the menu of Fatty Bao, you can nosh up on that too along with signature Asian cocktails.
