  • Hiding rings in cakes and wines has got too old school apparently.

In the day and age of Instagram foods and food trends, millennial tastes pretty much rule the roost and whether culinary puritans and experts like it or not, social media fads drive trends too. A lot of restaurants have started incorporating what are called 'Insta-ready' foods in their menus, in the hopes of catching the attention of young crowds with smartphones. This trend has been decried many a times and by multiple chefs and celebrities. However, food fads are nowhere close to disappearing. If you don't want to hide your ring inside the avocado, you can even get a proposal messaged carved onto the skin of the fruit. Would you go for an 'avocado proposal' or would you like to propose in a more old school 'dinner date and champagne' kind of way? Let us know in the comments below.
