The COVID-19 pandemic brought about a lot of changes in our lives. It has also brought to the fore some new additions to the list of etiquettes we follow — especially those concerning masks. Though there is no substitute to wearing a mask in public places, when it comes to dining out, there are still some gray areas in terms of social guidelines. Confused, most of us end up tackling it in the wrong way. Celebrity chef Pankaj Bhadouria has shared an Instagram video, answering questions on mask etiquette. In the caption, she wrote, “Unsure about what to do with your mask while dining in a restaurant? Check here. After all, mask is now the new normal.”

In the video, she first states that we must never take our mask off and keep it aside nonchalantly on the table. Also, she says that we shouldn't pull it down and just wear it on our chin while we eat away happily. Third, we must also not take the mask out from one ear and keep it hanging on the other. Pankaj suggested that we must remove it first and cover it with a paper towel to keep it clean. Then, we must keep it in our pockets or handbags. We can take it out and wear it again once after we've finished eating.

From mask etiquettes to table manners, Chef Pankaj Bhadouria often shares a lot of useful tips. Once, she showed us how to use chopsticks. Though most of us are fond of Asian cuisine, the problem arises when it comes to using chopsticks. Pankaj stated that the chopsticks need to be held from the top. She said that we need to rest one stick firmly in the thumb and support it with the ring finger. Then, we have to rest the second chopstick between the index and middle finger and use the thumb for support. Now level the edges of the chopsticks and that's how you can practice.
