Raw mango rice adds a refreshing flavour to your palate

Summer's ending and the only downside of it is that we have to bid adieu to our favourite mangoes. Mangoes spell magic on the season and help distract us from the scorching heat outside. If you are a hardcore fan of mangoes like us, then you too would want to make the most of mangoes before they totally go out of stock. This is why we brought a delicious recipe that will help you bid adieu to the fruit on a happy and scrumptious note. It's a humble bowl of raw mango rice.

Much like South Indian tamarind rice or lemon rice, this recipe gives a zingy twist to a bowl of plain rice. Here, we spice up a bowl of rice with the classic South Indian tadka of mustard seeds, curry leaves etc and then add grated raw mango to it. It is super easy and needs just a few minutes for preparation. For this recipe, you can also use the leftover rice from your last meal. Besides being spicy, what makes the dish yet more special is its refreshing flavours and soothing effect. You can either have this raw mango rice as is or pair with any sabzi of your choice.  Trust us, the flavour with stay strong in your mind till the next summer!

How To Make Raw Mango Rice| Raw Mango Rice Recipe:

Step 1. Pour oil in a pan and mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal, peanuts, green chilli, turmeric powder and curry leaves in it.

Step 2. Cook everything for a while, until the mustard seeds splutter.

Step 3. Add boiled rice and mix.

Step 4. Add julienned raw mangoes to the rice, with some salt, and saute for 2-3 minutes.
