Hyderabadi-Style Biryani Recipe: How To Make Veg Hyderabadi Qubooli

To begin with, wash and soak the basmati rice for about 2-3 hours. Once soaked, drain and set aside. Now heat enough water in a pan, add oil, salt to taste, and cook on medium flame. Stir occasionally. Drain, add ghee, and mix well.

For chana dal, wash and soak chana dal for 2 hours, drain once done. Keep aside. Now, heat enough water in a pan, add oil, turmeric powder and cook for 10 mins. Stir occasionally. Drain and keep aside.

After it, heat ghee in a pan, add sliced onion, ginger-garlic paste, cardamom and cinnamon, and saute for a few seconds. Then add haldi, garam masala, red chilli powder, cumin powder and saute again. Lower the flame, add curd, and mix well.
