From aloo tikki, dahi bhalla to pav bhaji and paani puri, India is obsessed with chaat and we can literally have it any time of the day. Chaat has an interesting history too! Did you know that a good chunk of chaat items in Delhi were introduced in the reign of Shah Jahan? Due to the polluted water of Yamuna, a lot of people were falling sick. Shah Jahan's Hakim advised to sell foods that used a lot of spices and chillies as they were replete with health benefits and immunity-boosting properties. One such chaat item that we cannot get enough of is dahi puri. Dahi puri is your regular pani puri or gol gappa, slathered over with a dash of yogurt, rustic masalas, eclectic chutneys and pomegranate seeds. The wholesome snack can be found at any of your local chaat counters.  You can also make the snack at home! Making this classic street food at home also helps you monitor the spice quotient in your dish; one cannot always be sure of that while eating out. Additionally, you also get to use your trusted and high-quality ingredients. Dahi puri is a hit among both kids and adults alike.
