A popular north Indian delight, sarson ka saag is a vegetarian delight made using seasonal mustard leaves with other leafy vegetables like bathua, spinach and radish leaves. It is cooked with a host of spices, topped with butter and is served with makke ki roti. Makke or maize flour is made using dried corn kernels, milled into smooth, pale yellow coloured flour. Since it is made with corn, it is packed with vitamins A, B, E along with fibre. While it might sound like a tough task, you can prepare makke ki roti at home with a few simple steps!
