Graveyard shifts or more commonly known as night shifts are a difficult deal. While the world is ready to pack up and tuck into their cozy blankets for a good night slumber. You are getting ready for your job, what’s worse is three hours into the shift, you already see your energy levels drooping. Sometimes even music and  power naps are also not enough to keep you upstraight throughout the night. What do you resort to next? Coffee of course! Our old companion through tough nights! Caffeine blocks the action of adenosine, a molecule which directs our brain to feel tired.
But did you know that according to researchers from Clarkson University in New York and the University of Georgia , this certain style of coffee is set to improve your attention span and help you fight the lethargy that comes along with late hours. 
Yes Mocha lattes can be prove to be an effective Knight in shining armour in combating the never-ending nights, the combination of coffee and chocolate found in mocha helps you stay focused. Researcher Ali Boolani Clarkson University said "Cocoa increases cerebral blood flow, which increases cognition and attention. Caffeine alone can increase anxiety. This particular project found that cocoa lessens caffeine's anxiety-producing effects."
  The study that was conducted over a span of an year, participants were made to drink either brewed cocoa, cocoa with caffeine, caffeine without cocoa, or even placebo hot drink with neither caffeine nor cocoa. Participants were then asked to perform a range of tasks, on the basis of which their cognitive function and mood was analysedThose who drink plain cocoa were found to be more attentive and made fewer errors. Also, adding caffeine to the cocoa, enhanced the cognitive effects, and also reduced "anxiety-provoking effects" of drinking just coffee"The results of the tests are definitely promising and show that cocoa and caffeine are good choices for students and anyone else who needs to improve sustained attention," Boolani added.
