Royal Challengers Bangalore's skipper had been nursing his broken shoulder after the injury he met during the third test match against Australia in March. The Indian skipper had to miss the finals of the series, but the team managed to squash the Australian team anyway. Virat had to miss out on the first three matches of the Indian Premiere League following the same reason. But the BCCI (Board of Cricket Control India) on Thursday declared that the player is fit to play for the next RCB match scheduled on Friday, against Mumbai Indians at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The announcement comes in as a huge respite for all Kohli fans who have been waiting for the player's return with bated breath. The RCB skipper himself has been working hard to come back with a bang. Virat was the highest scoring batsmen of the last tournament, with a whopping 973 runs in a single tournament. He set records, tough to imitate. How we have missed seeing him swinging the paciest deliveries off the covers in style!The skipper might have been off the ground, but that hasn’t kept him away from all the action, practice sessions and locker room madness. Here he shares a candid moment with AB de Velliers, the South African thunderbolt with whom he had the much celebrated twin partnership last season, assuring his fans of his recovery in 'process'.
 
He is also a good captain,making a point to cheer his team time in and time out. In the meanwhile, Virat also collected his Padma Shri Award for excellence in sports in Delhi from the Honourable President Pranab Mukherjee. Can there be a sabbatical as incredible?
 
Virat has been continuously working on his fitness ever since the unfortunate injury. Earlier Kohli had said that he would return only when he was 120 percent fit. He recently uploaded a video of him on Instagram, doing intensive weight-lifting, dropping a major hint of his recuperated shoulder. He wrote, "Can't wait to get back onto the field. He has been in and out of regular physiotherapy sessions. Recently he thanked Indian team’s physiotherapist Pattrick Farhart , who has played a major role in the player’s quick recovery.
