We all love the nippy weather but it often brings along several health hazards. It is that time of the year when the cold and foggy weather takes a huge toll on our skin. The dry winter season leaves our skin and lips dull and flaky. And no amount of lotion or cream can help you get the radiance back. One of the most common reasons for deteriorating skin health is a reduction in water intake. We tend to drink less amount of water during the winters, leaving our skin dull and gloomy. Hence, experts always suggest sufficient water intake during the season to restore the sheen.
Alongside water, seasonal fruits and vegetables play an equally important role in nourishing the skin from within. Tweaking your diet as per the season always has a positive effect on our overall health. High in vitamins and antioxidants, winter foods like orange, apple, leafy greens, guava, carrots etc help keep your skin soft and supple. Eat them or apply as fruit/veggie mask, these seasonal produces are just great for you!
