It's the season for the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the excitement of most cricket fans is at an all-time high. Well, it turns out that Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra has also “reserved” his “season tickets”. But wait there is a twist to the story. The industrialist has booked his tickets not for the IPL cricket tournament but for the Idly Premier League. Didn't get it? On Sunday, Anand Mahindra shared a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), featuring a picture of a banner outside a restaurant. The banner informed that Chennai's famous restaurant chain Geetham is hosting the Idly Premier League, on the occasion of World Idly Day—March 30. The event, which started on March 22 and goes on till April 7, offers multiple varieties of idlis. The text on the banner read, “Idly Premier League for World Idly Day 5-in-1 platter and more!”
