A food delivery executive's life is indeed hard. From cutting through heavy traffic to beating the summer heat, we have often come across various stories of how much delivery executives go through to deliver food on time. Many times, the order gets delayed, and they end up facing rude and not-so-friendly behaviour from the customers. However, a lady named Priyanshi Chandel and her heartwarming gesture helped a food delivery guy get a better job. Ms. Chandel, who works as a Marketing Manager at a tech company, shared the entire incident in a LinkedIn post.

The lady narrated the story of a hungry and broke Swiggy delivery agent, who delivered her ice cream order, but the delivery was late by 30-40 minutes. When she asked him the reason for the delay, Sahil Singh - the food delivery agent - shared that he walked for 3 km to reach her flat because he was left with no money or vehicle. Hence, he got late. During the conversation, the 30-year-old told Priyanshi Chandel that he even has a degree in Electrical and Communication Engineering. The food delivery agent has previously worked with Byju's and Ninjacart, where he used to earn Rs. 25,000 a month. But after losing his job during the pandemic, he moved back to his home in Jammu. As per Priyanshi Chandel's viral LinkedIn post said, ''Madam, I did not have a scooter or any transport to travel, I walked 3 km with your order. I am absolutely out of money and it's because of my flat mate who took the last of my money with which I charge my Yulu and has put me in -235 debt. I have nothing left to pay my landlord. You might think am just bluffing, but I am a fully educated ECE grad, I used to work at Ninjacart, BYJU'S before I went home to Jammu during covid." On his current earrings, the delivery guy said, "Even for this order delivery, I'll only get 20-25 rupees, and I'll have to take another delivery before 12, or else they will send me for delivery somewhere far, and I don't have a bike.”

Sahil Singh revealed that he had not eaten for a week and was just drinking water and tea to get by. He further asked Priyanshi Chandel to help him find a job as he cannot keep asking money from his parents.
