In a recent study, it was found that these drinks may increase testosterone levels in men. Yes, you read that right! The study, conducted by a group of researchers at the Northwest Minzu University in China looked into the impact of carbonated beverages on fertility. It was also found that these drinks may increase the testicle size and overall sexual health in men. The findings were published in the journal Acta Endocrinol.

As per reports, some earlier studies linked soda consumption with deteriorating reproductive function and reduced sperm health. The researchers (of the latest study) conducted a test on groups of male mice over a period of 15 days. While the first group was given only water, the remaining groups drank Coca-Cola and Pepsi in different quantities. During this period, the researchers conducted their blood tests, checked weight and measured the diameter of the testicles.

It was found that the group of mice that just drank the carbonated beverages "significantly increased" by the 15th day. In addition, it was also found that high doses of the drinks also improved testosterone secretion in male mice. According to the researchers, this may further help prevent prostate dysfunction in men.
