This happened after someone dared to add yet another flavour to the menu. Yes, you read that right. A video showing "watermelon popcorn" in the making has set the internet ablaze. The clip was shared by an Instagram food page. It opens with the cook putting a slice of watermelon in an empty, heated pan. Then she emptied a packet of corn that also included powdered sugar. Next, she uses a spatula to crush the watermelon. As the pan was on the burner, it watered down in no time. In just a few seconds, you will notice the corns dipped in red-coloured water. Once it is all mixed properly, the cook covers the pan with the lid, and you have your watermelon popcorn ready. There is no point in guessing that it was zesty pink in colour. The clip was shared with the caption, "Homemade watermelon popcorn, sweet and crispy! Super delicious!"

Needless to say, the clip has left the internet buzzing. Several users were curious to try the snack. Many claimed it to be a lie, as they pointed out that watermelon doesn't leave any colour. Therefore, they believed that the cook used food colouring.
