The post was shared on Reddit by user u/occlumxncy in the subreddit r/doordash. "Is this normal? Got a pizza delivered this weekend along with this random message, memes in the chat, and candy in a baggy? My tip was already generous, but I guess "donations" are expected too," he wrote in the caption of the post.
In the note shared by the pizza delivery agent, he had written about how he shared some memes and jokes with the customer on his personal chat message. "I do what I can to make sure you get your food fresh, hot and with all the things you need," he wrote in the post. He further said that a five-star rating would be appreciated along with a tip or donation which was completely optional. "You don't have to, but it would make my day," concluded the note.
A number of Reddit users reacted to the post about the pizza delivery guy. Some felt that the message was sweet while others felt that the message was slightly over the top. "It wasn't bad until he asked for a tip 3 separate times," said one user. Others felt that the effort of brightening the customer's day was indeed praiseworthy. "I'm almost guaranteed to add an extra tip on something like this. No one wants to hear about your 4 kids or empty gas tank, we all have problems. But put some effort into brightening my day? Definitely yes," said one user.
