October is filled with festivities and we are all running high with the festive spirit. While Navratri kicked off this month, Dussehra or Vijay Dashami was celebrated on October 5, 2022. The festival is meant to mark the day Lord Ram slayed the asura king Ravana and good triumphed over evil. In some households, a special Dussehra puja is organised on the occasion, followed by a grand feast. Actress Pooja Hegde too celebrated Dussehra in this grand way and shared glimpses of the same on her Instagram stories. Her lavish South Indian feast on Dussehra couldn't help but make us envious! First, Pooja Hegde shared a click of the puja festivities for Dussehra at her mother's place. Then, at the next click, she showed us the lavish Dussehra feast that was served on a banana leaf. "My favourite part of Dussehra celebrations - mom's feast," wrote Pooja Hegde in the caption of the picture. We could spot some fantastic South Indian dishes such as rice, sambhar, avial, banana fritters, beans poriyal, and plenty of other achaars, pachadis and the works. The fulfilling meal looked like the perfect Dussehra celebration!
This is not the first time that Pooja Hegde has shown her foodie side. We have often seen her sharing her foodie indulgences on Instagram much to her fans' delight. Recently, we saw her picking out some fresh fruits and berries from a farm. "Here's one happy fruit picker for you," wrote the actress in her picture.
