Online food delivery apps are nothing less than a luxury when it comes to satisfying our cravings. Whether it's getting a pizza in 30 minutes or bringing our much-loved dish from our favourite restaurant, they serve as the ultimate saviour when hunger strikes. However, it now appears that we need to think twice before placing an order. In a disturbing video, a DoorDash deliveryman was caught spitting on the food he was delivering to a house. According to a report from NBC 6 South Florida, the incident occurred in front of an apartment in Miami. The delivery man was reportedly agitated after receiving a small tip from the customers who had placed the online order. The entire incident was captured on the ring camera at the customer's house entrance.

The clip opens with the delivery man arriving at the address, holding the food package. After placing the package on the doormat, he steps back and checks something on his phone. Next, he can be heard saying, “I didn't tell you, they left me nothing.” Then, in just a few seconds, he is seen leaning forward and bending down to spit on the food package. Afterward, he gets up and looks into the camera, saying, “And they didn't even leave me $1”, before walking away. Take a look at the video here:
The report revealed that the food was ordered by 13-year-old Elias Crisanto for himself and his mother. In conversation with NBC6 sister station Telemundo 51, Elias disclosed that he witnessed the entire incident in real-time on his phone. He stated that he gave a $3 tip to the delivery man, assuming it was "good for 0.5 miles." The report quoted Elias as saying, “He got angry because maybe he thought the tip was small, and he spit in the food. If it wasn't for the camera, no one would know. I wanted to vomit, because who does that?”

Disgusted by the incident, several users claimed that “tampering” with someone's food in Florida is a punishable act. A user commented, “Tampering with anyone's food in the state of Florida is a felony and can be punishable with up to 30 years in prison. They're going to learn not to play with people's food.” Another wrote, “Spitting on someone's food is wild.”
