The picture was shared on Twitter by user @DrAmankashyap and it depicted the hilarious situation of Zucchini and what happened to it when it came to Punjab. Although the packaging read 'Zucchini, the staff at the supermarket labelled the vegetable as 'Jugni', which is a term of endearment used in many Punjabi songs. "The Punjabi dialect didn't even spare poor Zucchini once it's been to Ludhiana," laughed the user in his tweet.
The tweet went viral on social media, garnering 3.7k likes, as well as several hundred comments and retweets. Several users pointed out how low the prices of the exotic vegetable were as compared to other cities in India. Many users also laughed that the mispronunciation and misspelling of Indian names is common abroad too. Others couldn't help but hum a few tunes with the word 'Jugni' in them.
