A few days ago, an X post about an infestation problem in makhana grabbed many eyeballs. A man took to the social media platform to post pictures of the "live bugs and little insects" crawling inside a packet of the snack he ordered online. He had got them through the popular e-commerce giant Flipkart. The company had responded and even initiated the process of refund for his order, according to updates posted by the same user (Read the full story here). More recently, another viral post involving Flipkart is making the rounds online.

This time it is not a food item but a kitchen device that has left the customer disappointed. The cost of the item in this case would be significantly higher too. An X user recently shared photos and videos of a kitchen chimney they ordered from Flipkart. The footage shows some portions of the product to be in pieces. The person states that the damaged chimney was delivered on October 6, 2023. The customer received no response from Flipkart even after 13 days had passed. Take a look at the clip and pictures below:

In response, Flipkart wrote, "Sorry about that. We understand your concern about the recent order. Rest assured, our team will stay in touch with you to help you with the resolution. We are grateful for your patience". When asked for further clarification regarding the date, the company added, "We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you regarding the order. We see that you've already reached out to us for this. You have our assurance that we are looking into your concern and, we'll get in touch with you via a call or email".
It's not only damaged or contaminated products that raise concerns online. Sometimes, customers may not even receive the product they ordered.
