Highlights

  • 36 Lebzelter is a quaint cafe in Delhi's bustling Mayur Vihar market
  • It offers a variety of cuisines including Asian and Italian
  • Here's all the goodness you can try at the place

Let's just agree that there's no dearth of eateries in the capital city. From upscale fine-diners to quirky cafes in every corner, the city never disappoints with its options. And while fine-diners are perfect for those special occasions, the small eateries in your neighbourhood are the gems that come to rescue when hunger strikes. 36 Lebzelter, in the bustling market of Acharya Niketan in East Delhi, is the latest such entrant to the tribe.

Located right on the main road amongst a bevy of shops, 36 Lebzelter in the middle of crowded Mayur Vihar in Delhi is offering innovative fusion food and sinful desserts in a chic ambience. While the name is enough to get the crowd talking, it literally suits the place since Lebzelter was a community from Germany who was extremely popular for their bakery and cafes. Essentially a bakery, this place has recently redesigned itself as a small restaurant too. It is a quaint and small place with a decent seating of about 12-15 people and serves everything you can possibly think of! But most of all of it offers what every Delhiite would crave for after a long day at work or perhaps two days of diet - a steaming plate of lip-smacking momos and crispy spring rolls.

We tried our hands on both, and oh how were we impressed! Stuffed generously with succulent chicken chunks, spices and herbs, the chicken spring rolls were quite filling. Steamed momos were the show-stealer though served with mayonnaise and spicy red chutney. Utterly soft and graciously stuffed with juicy minced chicken! Their cheese chilli toast is also unmissable and cheese-loaded pasta is also a hot-seller. The menu is expansive and you can choose from a wide array of Indian, Oriental, Italian and even European! And since it is known for its bakes and bread, do not miss the decadent cheesecakes and truffle pastries. Also, brownie points for a super quick service!

So, the next time you are looking to satiate your taste buds with some lip-smacking quick bites, 36 Lebzelter might just come to your rescue.
