Himachali Dham - Shangri-La Eros New Delhi

Here's an exciting opportunity to relish the lesser-known traditional Himachali flavour in the capital city. Tamra, at Shangri-La Eros New Delhi, has announced an exclusive showcase of Himachali cuisine with an authentic feast known as Dham in association with Chef Pin. Guests can indulge in the rich and traditional flavours of Himachal Pradesh with guest Chef Roopesh Kanwar, who hails from the region. Himachali Dham, an integral part of the region's cultural celebrations, is a saatvik vegetarian thali, traditionally served during weddings and other joyous ceremonies.

In Dham, every dish has a meaning. Chana madra is a yoghurt-based dish that has local resonance as Chamba is famous for its milk and lentils. We liked the madra for its mix of tangy and creamy flavours. Teliyah Mah - dal prepared with oodles of mustard oil was also tasty. Aloo Palda - a tangy potato curry and sepuwadi - wadi with spinach-based gravy offer authentic regional flavours. In Dham, there is no bread served, so all the dishes are enjoyed with rice. But if you still crave it - there is bhuturu (a mini version of bhatura) prepared with wheat flour and paired with sweet and sour kaddu ki sabzi.
