Step-By-Step Dal Moth Namkeen Recipe -

Ingredients -

(Serving - 2)

1 cup masoor dal
1 tbsp peanuts
1 tbsp cashew nuts
Half onion or 1 small onion, finely chopped
1 cup sev
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder to taste
A pinch of dry mango powder (amchur)
A pinch of black salt
Half tsp chaat masala
1 tsp lemon juice (or as per your taste)
Coriander leaves for garnishing

Method -

Step 1 - Soak the mason dal for about 8 hours or overnight in water with some salt.

Step 2 - Strain the dal and lay it on a clean kitchen towel and let it dry.

Step 3 - Fry the dal in hot oil till it changes colour and turn crispy. Spread the fried dal on absorbent paper that will soak excess oil.

Step 4 - In the same pan, fry cashew nuts and peanuts till they turn brown and crispy.

Step 4 - In a large bowl, mix fried masoor dal with chopped onions, peanuts and cashew nuts. Season with salt, red chilli powder, black salt, mango powder and chaat masala. Mix well.

Step 5- Granish with sev, lemon juice and coriander leaves, and serve.
