Highlights

  • Paneer tikka is one of the most loved paneer snacks.
  • It oozes with flavour and has several variations.
  • Here's how you can make this yummy snack using an air fryer.

Paneer tikka is one of those snacks that you'll easily find everywhere. Whether it's at a wedding, a dinner party, or any Indian restaurant, this snack is a must on the menu. And if it's not there, it feels like something is missing (vegetarians would certainly agree with us on this). The feeling of biting into juicy paneer cubes marinated with yoghurt and flavourful spices is quite hard to resist. However, since it's usually made in a tandoor, we resort to relishing this snack from outside or recreating it at home using an oven. Making paneer tikka at home can be slightly tricky because if you do not pay attention, you can easily end up over-grilling it, making it hard and rubbery. To make things easier, we've found the perfect solution for you! You can now make your favourite paneer tikka in an air fryer using this recipe, and that too in under 30 minutes.

How Long Does It Take For An Air Fryer To Cook Paneer Tikka?

Making paneer tikka in an air fryer is as easy as it gets. You just have to preheat the air fryer for a few minutes and then nicely arrange all the paneer cubes in the basket. Make sure they do not stick to each other, as this would affect the cooking process. Cooking them won't take you more than 10 to 12 minutes. And if they still look undercooked, just pop them in for another 5 minutes, and you'll be done.

How To Prevent Paneer Tikka From Sticking To The Air Fryer?

If you're worried about the paneer tikkas sticking to the air fryer basket, fret not. You just have to be mindful of a few things while cooking it. Always remember to preheat the air fryer, as this helps create a non-stick surface. You must also grease the basket with oil before placing the paneer tikkas in it. Another thing to keep in mind is to ensure proper spacing between them while cooking.

How To Make Paneer Tikka In Air Fryer | Easy Paneer Tikka Recipe

First, we need to prepare the marinade for the paneer tikka. For this, add dahi, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, red chilli powder, haldi, garam masala, jeera powder, coriander powder, and salt in a bowl. Mix everything together. Now, gently add the paneer cubes to the bowl and toss them nicely. (Make sure to coat them well with marinade).  Let the mixture sit for around 20 minutes so that the flavours get absorbed nicely. Preheat your air fryer to 200 degrees C and brush the basket with some oil. Place the paneer cubes on it, ensuring they do not stick to each other. Air fry them for around 10 to 12 minutes or until done. Your paneer tikka is ready to be savoured!
