Gone are the days when we had only samosa, pakoda, aloo chaat and other Indian snacks for tea-time snacking options. Now, we love munching on pita bread, chips, nachos and crackers for a light yet filling small meal. All we need are these munchies and a nice dip to go with them. Curried mushroom dip recipe shared by Shilpa Shetty in her latest cooking post is just what we need for a creamy, tasty and nutrient-rich dip to whet our evening hunger.
Mushrooms, when cooked, turn soft and creamy, which is a great element to add to our dip. Mushroom is also rich in various nutrients, and is low in carb and fat content, making it worth including in any meal.
"A lot of us have been experimenting with the food we make at home... creating new dishes with the same ingredients can be such a challenge. So, here's something that I had tried and loved: the Curried Mushroom Dip, " wrote Shilpa Shetty in her Instagram post.

Shilpa Shetty made curried mushroom dip and showed us in some easy steps how we all can make it at home. Heat some oil in a pan and saute mushrooms with garlic, de-seeded red chilli, onion and curry powder. Add cashew paste or cream and cheddar cheese for extra creaminess.
The recipe uses 4 kinds of mushrooms - Indian Portobello, Button mushroom, Shimeji and Enoki. But, you can use any of these or even just one of these kinds of mushrooms to make the dip. Also, don't forget to garnish with some coriander leaves; you can also sprinkle some more Parmesan cheese, if you like. You can refrigerate the dip and serve it cold whenever you want to.
"It's a delicious, nutritious, and filling snack that will please your taste buds. It's a simple, easy, and quick recipe. Crackers go really well with this dip. Before you cook them, make sure you clean the mushrooms well. Do try it out," added Shilpa Shetty.
